From a Tourism Paradise to a Desirable Coastal City
Nha Trang has long been renowned as one of Vietnam’s most attractive tourist destinations. From 2024 to the first half of 2025, the city’s tourism sector in Khánh Hòa consistently posted impressive numbers.
In 2024, the province welcomed over 10.6 million visitors, a 45.5% increase compared to 2023. In the first five months of 2025, visitor numbers continued to rise, reaching more than 4.6 million, up 19.3% year-on-year. Nha Trang has also gained international recognition as Vietnam’s sole representative on the list of the world’s top 15 destinations for summer 2025 and has become a favorite choice for South Korean travelers during the peak season. These remarkable figures not only reflect the tourism sector’s breakthrough but also indicate a deeper shift: Nha Trang is no longer just a brief stopover. With blue skies, vast seas, and a slow-paced lifestyle, visitors find themselves reconnecting with their own rhythm—gentle yet profoundly fulfilling.
According to Agoda, in the first five months of 2025, Nha Trang ranked among the top five destinations in Asia for the longest average stays. More and more people are not only visiting but choosing to stay for weeks, months, or even years. They live like true coastal residents, immersed in a serene yet dynamic rhythm, characteristic of a coastal city growing confidently. Nha Trang seems to offer everything that makes people want to stay: real estate still undervalued relative to its long-term potential, clean environment, continuously improving quality of life, reasonable costs, a comprehensive service ecosystem, and constantly upgraded infrastructure.
Ready for the “City-to-Coast” Wave
Blessed with a mild climate, warm year-round sunshine, gentle sea breezes, and rare storms, Nha Trang offers an unspoken yet priceless gift: clean air with ideal AQI levels often below 35.
For Lê Thu Hà, a tech professional from Hanoi, a journey to “find healthy air” for her young daughter with mild asthma led to an unexpected turning point. “Initially, we planned to stay just a few months for a change of environment, but after half a year, my daughter hardly needed her medication. Grateful beyond words, we decided to stay in Nha Trang,” she shared.

Similarly, Trần Công Minh, a marketing manager formerly living in Ho Chi Minh City, was captivated by Nha Trang’s peaceful rhythm and simple lifestyle. “I rented out our apartment in Thủ Đức and brought my family here to start a different life – slower, deeper, warmer. Nha Trang, though a tourist hub, remains balanced in terms of cost and daily pace, allowing my family to be happy without racing against financial pressure,” Minh said.
Older residents find calm in the gentle morning waves, children grow up embraced by lush greenery, and young professionals can work remotely while enjoying a tranquil lifestyle. Nha Trang harmonizes tradition and modernity: Kinh people, Chăm, ethnic minorities, foreigners, and Vietnamese expats collectively preserve long-standing cultural values amid rapid integration. It is a place not just to live, but to belong. The city combines modern, active living with continually improving infrastructure and transportation. From the city center to Cam Ranh International Airport takes just about 35 minutes, seamlessly connecting to essential amenities like hospitals, schools, supermarkets, cinemas, and wellness centers.

The multi-centered urban planning is gradually creating a new landscape where open spaces and relaxed rhythms allow people to breathe deeply, slow down, and grow an emotional bond with the city.
Following the merger of Ninh Thuận and Khánh Hòa, Nha Trang is set to become the new administrative center of the South Central Coast. With advantages in tourism, green energy, and marine economy, the city is entering a period of rapid growth. The trend of relocation to Nha Trang is no longer just a forecastit is already visible in countless families and personal stories of change, with people seeking sunshine, sea breezes, and a fulfilling life. In this flow, North Nha Trang is emerging as a new growth hub, attracting cultured residents and savvy investors, together creating a vibrant and desirable region for today and the future.
