After the Storm Comes the Sunshine
The historic floods that struck Nha Trang in November 2025 caused severe damage across many residential areas, including the homes of numerous employees working at Vega City JSC, a member of KDI Holdings. In the face of this hardship, the spirit of solidarity and compassion—core values deeply rooted in KDI’s culture—shone brighter than ever across the entire system.
Immediately after the call for support was issued, the Trade Union and the Compassion Fund received an outpouring of contributions from employees. Every message of encouragement, every gift, and every donation—large or small—reflected heartfelt concern for colleagues in the hardest-hit areas, highlighting the strength of connection within the KDI community.
On November 21, the Relief Team established by the Trade Union was divided into four groups and dispatched to the most severely affected locations: Diên Khánh/Vĩnh Thạnh, Vĩnh Ngọc, Vĩnh Phương, and Ninh Hòa. They visited families, offered words of comfort, and delivered essential supplies. Relief activities continued the following day to assess each household’s situation and provide timely assistance.
By the afternoon of November 21, 2025, a total of 57 employee households had been impacted. While all were safe, most suffered significant property damage; belongings were destroyed, and many areas remained flooded or covered in mud, disrupting daily life.
To help employees regain stability and return to normalcy, the Relief Team implemented two urgent measures. The first was hands-on support—clearing mud, disinfecting homes, and assisting with repairs as soon as conditions allowed. At the same time, the Trade Union reviewed the extent of damage at each household to provide financial assistance promptly and appropriately, easing the burden and helping families rebuild.
“In times of hardship, the value of sharing becomes clearer than ever. Every act of support at this moment carries immense meaning for colleagues affected by the disaster,” a representative emphasized.
KDI Holdings reaffirms its commitment to standing by its employees—not only in their work but also through life’s most challenging moments. The timely acts of compassion during the recent floods once again reflect the humanity and unwavering solidarity that define the KDI family.
